Pray for Cole!

If you would, please join me in praying for Cole’s comprehensive exams that will take place tomorrow from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. He will be tested on 3 years of advanced Greek and Hebrew in order to see if he is qualified to graduate. We appreciate your prayers!!!

Update (4/20/07): Thank you for your prayers!!! Cole expressed that he could tell everyone was praying! He feels he did really well. We don’t find out the results for a few days, but we are confident that he passed.

Spring Snow

So Cole and I woke up this morning to three inches of slushy snow. There is nothing pretty about snow that falls after Easter. My poor flip flops have only been used once this Spring!

Happy happy two years!

Movie Reviews

This weekend, we decided to embark on the journey of newly released Christian movies. We watched Facing the Giants (not so new…but our first chance to veg in awhile) and thought it was great. Sure, we got a little annoyed at the message presented that if you follow God you’ll get everything you want, but overall it was wonderfully inspiring and we were excited to see that something like this was in the theaters. The acting was a bit second rate, but the way this movie moved me to make a difference for Christ was definitely first rate.

On Saturday, we went to see Amazing Grace and LOVED it. Oh my goodness what a touching story. I knew a tiny bit about William Wilberforce from my church history classes, but this movie really made his heroic efforts concerning the abolition of slavery come alive. Every Christian should see this! Go out while this movie is still in theaters and throw your money at them! This movie is a cause to support.

We have yet to see One Night With the King, but plan on making that our next blockbuster selection.

Have you seen any of these movies? What did you think? What do you think about all these new Christian movies popping up? Do you think we are really competing with the big Hollywood boys? Okay I’ll stop with the questions.

Pray for Comps!

Hey if you get a chance can you pray for me this Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m? I am taking my Competency Exam for my Master’s Degree- the last big thing before I graduate. On top of that, I just had a “gum graft” this weekend and am finding the pain and nausea a little distracting to my studies. I would really appreciate your prayers!

Thanks to Mom and Addie who helped take care of me this weekend!!!
